’tis the season

top 10faithful readers, the final month of the year guarantees a myriad of religious celebrations worth acknowledging, but you and i both know what the ultimate meaning of december is: end-of-the-year-best-of lists!  everyone here at the classical beaver home office, for the third year in a row, is now hard at work determining who will take home the coveted 2012 *golden beavertail award.  and because p-town has such an embarrassment of classical riches, the beavs has decided to expand the competition to portland‘s top ten most-awesome classical music performances of the year!  as always, this rodent wants to hear from you, so don’t be shy about leaving a comment on the blog, on the facebook, or on the twitter depositing your two cents towards this important matter.  what was one of your favorite classical moments of 2012?  inquiring rodents want to know.

    1. How about Alban Gerhardt playing Tchaikovsky in Oct. In fact, his whole week of residency. 2. Portland Baroque Orchestra and Capella Romana’s Messiah this month.
