what’s on tap?

tonight (tonight!), tomorrow, and monday, the oregon symphony presents a bit of ballet music from franz schubert before tackling the evening’s tour de force: gustav mahler’s monumental symphony number six.

why go?  um, while the beavs certainly has its own thoughts as to why one should attend this show at all costs, i suggest you read what the portland mercury‘s angry symphony guy has to say.  *check out his brilliantly belligerent 11/3 preview by clicking anywhere on this sentence.

hopefully you’ve already scored tickets and have been eagerly awaiting this concert since february.  if not, get on it while the gettin’ is good and grab some tix now… it’s hammer time at the schnitz, yo!
