trivial pursuits

anyone can do the saturday new york times crossword puzzle… are you up for a real challenge?  the following are either traditional english dishes or compositions the oregon symphony will perform tonight.  which need the spoons and which are the tunes?  [i’ll post the correct answers on the classical beaver facebook page this afternoon… or you can just ask me tonight at higgins post-concert.]  now put away those damn smartphones and good luck!

    Traditional english dishes: bangers & mash, spotted dick, cakes and ale, bubble and squeak, toad in the hole, faggots and peas.

      wow, somebody actually took the time to respond to the beavs trivial pursuit! although one could argue “cakes and ale” as a dish, it’s rightful place is with the britten compositions. shawnda: overall, great job ~ this rodent gives you an A- (please print this comment out and hang it on your fridge).
