what’s on tap?

this saturday and monday, the oregon symphony ditches the formal attire and opts for protective gear, ready to face a swarm of killer b’s: britten, bruch, brahms, and of course, Beethoven.  the band also welcomes fiddling wunderkind stefan jackiw and his 19th–century bow.

why go?  well, with all of benny britten’s english tunes and max bruch’s scottish ditties, the first half of the program is shaping up to be more folksy than a summer night at pickathon.  and a not-so-small miracle occurs in the second half of the program: we catch both brahms and Beethoven in a good mood.  wonders never cease!

if you still need a ticket or three, *click here and figure out if saturday or monday night works best for you.  see you @ the schnitz!

Small miracle, indeed! I hadn’t thought of it that way! 🙂
