what’s on tap?

this saturday and monday the oregon symphony presents an overture by gioachino yeah-i-also-wrote-the-lone-ranger-theme-song rossini, a 1983 violin concerto, and the very first symphony composed by tchaikovsky.

why go?  well, if you’re a hep cat who digs jazz, the concerto is written by jazzman william bolcom and will be performed by jazzman benjamin schmid.  and if you’re a romantic drama queen, pyotr’s symphony ain’t gonna disappoint, i’ll tell you what.  lucky for me, i’m a romantic drama queen jazzman.  check out the symphony’s website to get tix now.  I said now. (you can thank me later)
