what’s on tap?

this coming sat-sun-mon the oregon symphony finally has our hometown boy carlos back on the podium conducting a sibelius double header and tchaikovsky’s symphony #5.

why go?  1) thirty-something midori will unequivocally knock the ball out of the park with sibelius’ violin concerto.  she played solo with the new york philharmonic at 11 years of age.  it’s gonna be like having doogie houser operate open-heart surgery on your wheezing ticker.  2) i’m still smiling from the oregon symphony’s 2008 all-tchaikovsky program that i thought i was going to hate.  if you are queer, you owe it to yourself to check out this guy live… oh, the delicious drama!
